Delhi's Belly

Capital city needs capital change. From being an awesome experience (in parts), it also provokes horror, fear, uncertainty and poor attitude. New Delhi does as New Delhi is - that has been my profound insight for many years now. Each time I try to build a new relationship with this city, it just throws up the same reactions again and again. Is it worth all the hoop-la? To Be or Not to be...that is the question?

Questions, questions, questions...why has life become just a bunch of questions waiting to be answered? The greed for information in today's age is killing our intuition and sense of existence. Do we have to know how what is going to happen? Not really...maybe there is a good reason for not knowing what will be. So give it a rest.

Be a tall tree, stand within yourself

http://postnoon.com/2012/01/14/be-a-tall-tree-stand-within-yourself/19507

Sometimes it is difficult to find inspiration from people - sadly, even the ones we admire might really backfire in a tragic way. I have never really thought much about the miracle of Nature or God in creating birds, specially geese. But if you are starting to wait for the right time or opportunity in life to take flight - and do all those things that you only read in story books or biographies, maybe you need to fall in love with geese. Happy flying!

Stay put when the grass is greener on your side

http://postnoon.com/2011/12/17/stay-put-when-the-grass-is-greener-on-your-side/12036

Change is the essence of the Universe - no, the Multiverse. So who am I to defy that? But perhaps the grass is pretty much the same everywhere and before you leap, it is a good idea to make sure you are on the 1st floor instead of the 10th. Bottomline: Wait and watch. The scenery always changes!

In Pursuit of Our Dreams

http://postnoon.com/2011/12/02/dazed-and-confused-in-pursuit-of-our-dreams/

I quit chasing. It is no use to chase anything if we don't know what to chase. Dreams are ephemeral beings...they will take flight as easily as the crow perched on your window sill. So be careful - pursue with all your might - but first...read this.

Liberating Freedom

http://postnoon.com/2011/11/18/liberating-freedom/

What a word. Gets us all into a patriotic mode. But try deciphering what it means beyond "prison" or other such traditional connotations of not being free. If you are a free spirit or a free thinking soul, this one is for you. Cheers!

Tech Block!

http://postnoon.com/2011/11/04/tech-block/18727

It is quite easy - if you can't cope with too many friends, move to the Andamans. I hear the waters are blue and beautiful...and the island has more trees than people. In the tech age, I find it is so easy to lose friends and people...have you lost some due to your rage over twitter or facebook? Hope not!

Uncle Sam rules our tongue

http://postnoon.com/2011/10/21/uncle-sam-rules-our-tongue-2/11123

American or not, it is just no longer about grammar or spellings like it used to be back in my hey days. So heck, the twangs are in and the dry wit is out. Is it possible to be un-Americanized once you have been brutally converted to Sam-ism? Not so sure...you tell me!

For Bengalis, Durga Puja is time to strengthen bonds

http://postnoon.com/2011/10/07/for-bengalis-durga-puja-is-time-to-strengthen-bonds/11117

This piece-de-resistance was born from years of observation - of Bengalis residing outside Bengal. I am forced to conclude that the environment of a state of habitat alters the genetic make-up of a caste and community. No hard feelings...just absolute bewilderment. Enjoy!

Age-Aging-Agony

Youth is temporary as it is fascinating. When it goes, it leaves you dumbfounded. When it is there with you, you take it for granted. When it is gone, you want it back. The best way to deal with loss of youth is to celebrate its passing! Enjoy being old-er...it is not the end of the world. You can still be yourself with dignity and love.
